One-on-One Tutoring with Certified Teachers

First things first, if your tutoring is not one-on-one, then it simply is not as good as it could be, or should be.  Your child’s learning style, and needs cannot be pigeon-holed into a generic group program.  Tutoring should be geared directly to each student, and the ideal way to do that is one-on-one.

Our program is individualized to each student.  We do that by getting to know the student through an intake diagnostic assessment aligned with Ministry expectations, and by understanding the goals set forth by the family.  Your child’s program will change as learning evolves. At Brainiacs, we believe in regular, ongoing communication with you, in order to ensure achievement of your goals.

We tutor students mainly from pre-kindergarten to grade12.

Our Process

At Brainiacs, all tutoring sessions are on a one-on-one, private basis. Tutoring sessions are a minimum of 1 hour in length, and can increase based on your needs and preferences. We begin with an initial diagnostic assessment aligned with Ministry expectations in order to determine your child’s academic strengths and areas that require greater development.

Because each student is different, with unique needs, sessions are customized to the individual learner. During the learning sessions, we provide support and guidance for school assignments, projects, homework and tests, and any areas of need. Program Specialists use concrete materials and technology, together with real-world examples in order for the students to grasp the concepts being taught.
